Muscadine Grapes

Paulk Vineyards, Inc., has introduced standardized ingredients made from muscadine grapes. Muscadine grapes, America’s native grapes, have been shown to contain high levels of total antioxidants and ellagic acid, according to the company. Recent research at the University of Georgia’s Nutraceuticals Research Laboratory and other collaborating universities have shown that muscadine grapes have a higher phenolic content than any other type of grape with high levels of fla­vonoids, anthocyanins and flavonols. Paulk Vineyards’ line of muscadine grape nutraceutical powders is available as finished products or as standardized ingredients.
